Jon Dunning grew up in the town of Neenah, Wisconsin, graduated from Miami University (Ohio, not Florida) and received a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis.  While in seminary, he fell for a smart, beautiful, out-going engineer from St. Louis named Tricia and they were married in 1999.  They have been blessed with three kids: Lucy (2004), Jack (2007), and Thad (2011).  That means Jon’s biggest ‘hobbies’ include playing Legos, building forts, wrestling, and reading Nancy Drew mysteries.  He also loves watching football and reading almost anything when he can swing it.  Jon served for nearly a decade as Associate Pastor at Oak Hills Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, Kansas.  The Dunnings are thrilled to serve college students through the gospel at “K-State.”

Though he has lived in many places, Wes claims GA and the Carolinas as his most formative home states while growing up, which helps explain his love for the Braves (woo hoo ATL) and Panthers (sorry ATL). Wes graduated from Davidson College in 2010 and from Reformed Theological Seminary Charlotte in 2013, at which time he came to Kennesaw to serve RUF at KSU. Wes met and started dating his future wife at a 7th grade birthday party. Fortunately he had plenty of time to grow some more before getting married in May of 2009. They have two children, Walker (September 2012) and Pack April (2014).

Prior to coming to Kennesaw Wes served as an intern at Overbrook Presbyterian Church in Gaffney, SC and as an interim campus minister for RUF at Davidson College. Wes was blessed as an undergraduate by the ministry of RUF and hopes to see students likewise blessed through the ministry of RUF at KSU. Wes loves/will play just about any sport though being great at none (except maybe ping pong). Kelly is a nurse and first class mommy and loves to host students at our home to eat cookies and play with our boys.

Elliott and Carrie, a Mercer alumna, will have been married 8 years this December.  They have three children: Thomas (6), Harris (4) and Graham (2).  Elliott grew up in Jackson, MS.  He began college at Mississippi State University, but transferred and graduated from the University of Mississippi in May 2006. Most importantly, though, it was at Ole Miss where he met Carrie Gregory.  Carrie grew up in Peachtree City, GA and attended Mercer University from 1997-2001. At the invitation of the RUF intern, she attended large group.  She quickly fell in love with the ministry of RUF and was involved all four years of college, two years under Paul Bankson and two under Collin Peters.  Upon graduation Carrie moved to Oxford, MS where she was the RUF intern at Ole Miss under Les Newsom for 3 years.  When she decided to stay in Oxford at the end of her time as intern, Elliott gathered the courage to ask her out on a date, and the rest, as they say, is history; they were married before Elliott graduated from college.  Elliott decided at the last minute against going to law school to go on staff at Christ Presbyterian Church in Oxford as a pastoral intern.  In January of 2008 he became the youth director at First Presbyterian Church in Yazoo City, MS, and began his studies at RTS in Jackson the next fall.  Upon graduation from seminary in May 2012, Elliott accepted a call to stay on as Associate Pastor in Yazoo City.  Needless to say, RUF has been instrumental in the lives of both Elliott and Carrie.  Elliott has long desired to be a campus minster, and it is a double honor to be at Mercer, a place Carrie holds dear.

Trip Beans was actually born Frank William Beans III (yes, that’s 3 generations of Frank and Beans together). He graduated from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA and then spent 13 years both working as the Director of Youth Ministries at Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, MD and getting his seminary degree from Chesapeake Theological Seminary. Rev. Justin Westmoreland is our RUF Campus Minister at the University of Oklahoma. Justin grew up in Sherwood, Arkansas, and attended college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering with BioMedical Specialization. Through his involvement with RUF at SMU and attendance at Park Cities Presbyterian Church, he discovered the beautiful ways in which reformed theology best articulates the precious truths of scripture. Post-college, he served two years as a youth minister at a PCA church in Knoxville, TN where he met his wife, Meredith. Justin graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC, and after interning at Ballantyne Presbyterian Church, was called to be the RUF campus minister at the University of Tennessee - Martin from 2006-2011. Justin loves sports, especially college football. He also loves to eat, and, as a result, his other hobby is running. One “did you know” fact about Justin: he was once mistaken for a Super Bowl quarterback in a Charlotte, NC post office. Justin is taking a break from his lifelong quest of cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks in every SEC stadium to learn and teach his children the OU fight song, "Boomer Sooner!"

Justin and Meredith were married in June, 2003. Meredith is a native of Montgomery, AL. She attended the University of Montevallo for undergrad and the University of Tennessee for grad school. Meredith is a speech-language pathologist, but is currently taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom to the Westmorelands' small children -- Knox (born January '07), Owen (June '08), and Grace (November '09).  Meredith loves traveling, running, shopping (especially at Target), blogging, and keeping up with and spending time with friends and family.

Some may think it is strange for 2 brothers to marry 2 sisters, but not the Wenzlers. Mike met his future wife Lauren for the first time when they were 13 years old at Ikea. Their older siblings brought them along for some shopping; little did they know… Both Mike and Lauren became Christians in separate colleges, Mike at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and Lauren at the University of Kansas. Tying the knot soon after graduation, Mike and Lauren then moved to Charlotte to attend seminary at RTS. It was in Charlotte that they first heard of RUF and began pursuing campus ministry. In the Lord’s providence Mike and Lauren have received a call to start the first RUF work in the state of WI at Mike’s alma mater.

Given their close ties with their family, who also live in Milwaukee, Mike and Lauren enjoy spending time with loved ones, hosting meals in their home, drinking coffee, and just about anything spontaneous. Lauren takes pleasure in reading, cooking, relaxing, shopping, and vacationing, while Mike enjoys most things active, including exercise, hiking, boating, cars, motorcycles, and fixing anything broken. They hope to have a family very soon and are excited to share their faith, hope, and love in Christ to young adults in a city they adore.
