A college ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America dedicated to the cultivation of a Christ-centered community on the campus of Jacksonville State University. We endeavor to be a ministry where you can find good community, ask good questions, and hear good news.
Daniel was born and raised in Troy, Alabama. He attended Troy University where he studied Spanish and met his wife, Courtney. They married in 2009 and moved to Birmingham where Daniel earned a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School in 2014. Following this, he began serving as the assistant pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church in Fort Payne, Alabama mainly working with middle school and high school students. Daniel and Courtney have 3 children: 4-year-old Naomi and one-year-old twins, Rebekah and Cole. The Hightowers are excited to be ministering to the Jacksonville State students. Go Gamecocks!
Hannah grew up in Harrisonburg, Virginia with her three sisters. She attended Liberty University where she majored in Psychology and minored in Studio Art. During her last semester at LU, she lived in Washington, D.C. and interned with the Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center. At LU, Hannah found a genuine community in RUF and was involved as much as she could be with the group and with her own interns. Because of the love she experienced through God's work in Lynchburg RUF, she is excited to go intern at Jacksonville State University!
Hannah loves to be creative, and she expresses herself through drawing and painting. She is passionate about mental health and all things psychological - including personality tests like the Enneagram (she's a 2w1). You can probably find her jamming to Taylor Swift or listening to podcasts!
