Welcome to the "Ville" and RUF. RUF is a campus ministry that is trying to engage students in a conversation about faith and life. We like to talk about things like Christ, community, cause and culture. We want to understand how Jesus fits into all of our lives. Anyone is welcome into this discussion the Christian and the skeptic. Feel free to come to one of our regular events or reach out to us. We would love to get to know you.
Trip is the Campus Minister at Millersville. He is a peculiar combination of way past his prime athlete and nerd. Trip loves almost all sports and competition with specific interests in soccer, baseball (especially the Baltimore Orioles) and football (especially the Ravens). He is up to play just about anything from backyard whiffle ball to a table top game. He has also been collecting comic books since he was 12 years old. Trip is married to Joy and they have three kids.
Joy has been a full time mom, part time volunteer in ministry since she and Trip married in 1999. She has worked with middle school, high school and college students, in women’s ministry and peacemaking. She is currently pursuing her certification in Christian Conciliation and as of June 1st, 2018 is officially campus staff with RUF!
She has the incredible ability to get lost in Target, Whole Foods and any town she’s ever visited (or lives in). She loves reading, hanging out with students, making her 3 kids laugh hysterically and soy chai lattes. She and Trip have been in Lancaster, PA with RUF since 2013.
Matt loves camping, running, reading, and watching movies. Raised in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, Matt attended Penn State and studied communications. Although he was raised in a Christian home, he first fell in love with Christian community during his first year of college. Through RUF, Matt grew in his love of Scripture, prayer, and service, while learning alongside friends and mentors what it looks like to pursue Christ in all things. As an intern, Matt is excited to share the love of Christ with the students of Millersville and watch God grow the community there. After the internship, he plans to attend seminary and later become a campus minister.
