Welcome to RUF in Mexico City! RUF's first ministry outside the US serves the National Autonomous University of Mexico, one of the largest (120k students) and oldest (1553) schools in the hemisphere. RUF has been reaching and equipping students for Christ and his Church at this influential and extremely diverse university since 2005. If you are a student, we would love to see and serve you on campus! If you are a supporter, please consider giving to this strategic ministry.

Barush Sanchez

Barush grew up in a Christian family with his dad being a pastor and a church planter. Since he was a teenager, Barush felt God’s calling to serve the youth, and quickly became involved as a leader in the ministry for young people of the National Presbyterian Church in Mexico, as well as in the Chi-Alpha campus ministries (Jovenes con Decision). With his wife Lorena they have been working as youth pastors for many years. Barush obtained a degree in Law at the UNAM, and currently is finishing his studies at the Presbyterian Seminary in Mexico City. Barush's desire is to keep serving university students, reaching them for Christ, and be part of RUF at UNAM as staff.

Monse Santiago

I was reached with the Gospel through RUF in 2006. Since then I served in RUF as a student leader until I obtained my BA in International Relations in 2011. Right after that I started serving as the RUF two-year intern, gaining experience and training in leading Bible studies, coordinating activities, and sharing the Gospel with other university students at UNAM. Currently, I am finishing my MA in Political Science, planning to defend my thesis this September. I have felt God’s call to take the MTW/RUF UNAM staff position for a year, co-leading with a Mexican seminary student, Barush.
