Thanks for checking out RUF at the University of Maryland! We would love to meet you and have you connect to our ministry here on campus in College Park. RUF is a community of students seeking to know and grow in the life giving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are multiple ways to connect, including our weekly Large Group worship service on Wednesday nights in the Stamp, weekly small group Bible discussions, service projects, mission trips and conferences. Meet Our Team
Ryan Bratt
Ryan has been serving as the RUF Campus Minister at the University of Maryland since June 2023, after graduating from Reformed Theological Seminary in Tysons, VA in May 2023. He grew up in Silver Spring and loves being able to serve so close to home!
The DMV is home, but Ryan went to college in Michigan. While there, he met his wonderful wife, Hanna. Ryan and Hanna live in University Park, MD, just south of campus, with their dog Cooper. In his free time, you'll find Ryan playing sports, watching soccer or college football, going for long walks with Hanna and Cooper, or reading a book.
Amanda Jakana
Amanda has been on staff with RUF UMD since the Fall of 2021. Before coming to UMD, she was an RUF Intern at LSU (Geaux Tigers!) from 2019 to 2021. It was during her time at LSU that she met her husband, Caleb, who was also serving as an RUF LSU Intern. They got married in June 2021 and moved to Washington, DC, that August, so Amanda could join the staff at UMD and Caleb could attend Reformed Theological Seminary. He graduated with his Master's in Divinity in May '25, and they both welcomed their baby (Judah) into the world on May 22nd!
Amanda loves serving the students at Maryland. You can find her at a coffee shop with students or at the Maryland Dairy shop in the STAMP.
