Meet Our Team
John Meinen
John Meinen is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder ('04) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary ('12). Before starting RUF at UVM, John served low-income entrepreneurs in the Bay Area, studied microfinance in Bangladesh, led backpacking trips for Outward Bound, and completed a year-long fellowship program in the nation's capital. His wife, Megan, is the Director for UVM's Adventure Ropes Course. The Meinens have a two-year-old daughter named Willa and a silver lab named Coulter. They would love to meet you. Kathleen Hoover
Kathleen grew up in Atlanta, GA and attended the University of Georgia where she studied Human Development and Family Science (Go Dawgs!). During her time in college, the campus staff and community at RUF showed her the love and tender care of Jesus, and how He hears and knows all of our burdens and hardships. She is always down to play a game of frisbee, pickleball, or volleyball and she loves going on outdoors adventures with friends! She is passionate about the joy of tea time and getting to have sweet conversations with friends (please ask her about her favorite books and why everyone should watch Avatar: The Last Airbender). She is so excited to get to live in Burlington and get to know the students there, so please reach out to her if you need anything. And Go Catamounts!
