RUF is a community for students at UW--Christians, skeptics, and anyone in between--to explore the light and life of Jesus and what that means for ourselves, our friends, and our campus.
We long to be experienced as a community that is a resting place for the weary, a safe place for the searching, and a nourishing place for the hungry, and would love for you to join us.

Danny grew up all over the country (Indiana, Florida, North Carolina, Colorado), but home base for both sides of his family is Indianapolis, and he is a midwesterner at heart. He went to Wheaton College for undergrad, graduated in 2010, and spent the next two years working in the corporate world in Cincinnati, OH. In 2012, he moved to St. Louis to attend Covenant Theological Seminary, and in 2016 graduated with an MDiv. That summer he was called to Madison to begin a new RUF campus work. Danny met his wife Emily at Covenant, where she earned a Master of Arts in Counseling, and they were married in November of 2016. Emily is a certified postpartum doula, and loves to read, cook, and read cookbooks. Danny loves reading, playing sports, listening to music, exploring cities, and in seminary managed to pick up all of the predictable millennial proclivities for local/artisanal/free-range whatever. Danny and Emily welcomed their first two children, twins Scout and Ruthie, in January 2018.
Annie recently graduated from Appalachian State University (go 'neers!) with a B.S. in Commercial Photography with a minor in Apparel Design and Merchandising. Born and raised in North Carolina, she is very excited to trade in her snow boots for even bigger ones as she moves to Madison to serve on the UW Madison campus. Her favorite things include her really cute fiancé, cows, her Prius named Nellie, the Great British Baking show, Chinese takeout, and crafting. She cannot wait to walk across frozen lakes and is praising the Lord that she has been placed in the land of cows and cheese curds.
