Joy (Sous) Benton

Joy (Sous) Benton

Campus Staff

Joy was born in Egypt and lived most of her life there, and (fun fact) lived down the street from the Pyramids. She moved to Texas when she was 16 and ended up becoming an Aggie “gig’em”. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M and started working with RUF at the University of Alabama in Huntsville as an intern. Now, she get to live in Nashville, Tennessee and work with RUF at Belmont!
Some of her favorite things to do are starting hobbies, trying iced caramel lattes from different coffee shops, and hanging out with friends. She's recently enjoyed translating bible studies from English to Arabic and teaching her friends Arabic words!

Wendy Twit

Wendy Twit

Campus Staff

Wendy grew up in Columbia, TN and graduated from Tennessee Tech with a BSN in Nursing. She moved back to Nashville to work at Vandy to pay the bills but her passion was to work with college girls at the newly started Belmont RUF. She even talked to the new Campus Minister (Kevin) about quitting nursing to go be an RUF intern. He convinced her to stay and lead a bible study and volunteer for Belmont RUF. So she stayed and ended up getting married to that campus Minister in 1998. Still volunteering with the RUF women 24 years later and she loves it. She went back to school once her daughter went to Kindergarten to study Photography. She does that part time. Wendy worked part time for Parakaleo for 4 years coming alongside women in ministry. Now she is coming on part time Campus Staff with RUF and is excited to walk alongside RUF women. Wendy and Kevin have 3 teenagers(one in college). Wendy likes to go to dance class, hike at Radnor Lake, watch movies and play Settlers in her spare moments.

Audrey Clarke

Audrey Clarke

Intern

Audrey is from Allentown, PA and attended the University of Pittsburgh where she played lacrosse and received her Bachelors and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. It was in Pittsburgh her senior year of college that she came to know the Lord and He radically changed her heart. After graduate school, Audrey moved to Nashville to pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering at a medical device start up company. However, after a year into her career, God moved in big ways and led her into full-time ministry. Her own experience of becoming a believer in college gives her a unique understanding and empathy for the challenges and questions that students face during this transformative period. In her free time, you can find Audrey rock climbing, backpacking, snowboarding, hiking.... basically anything involving the outdoors.

Johnathan Hillerman

Johnathan Hillerman

Intern

Johnathan was born in California but spent most of his life in Mississippi. He attended Mississippi College, where he was very active in RUF, both as a ministry team member and a leader of the music team. He graduated with a degree in psychology a week before marrying his wife, Bizzy. He can play almost every instrument in Guitar Center except banjo and loves to do so, especially leading worship. He also loves rock climbing, hiking, ultimate frisbee, and other relatable outdoor activities.
