Michael is a graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary in Saint Louis, MO. He grew up in Texas and attended Belhaven University where he studied Business Administration. It was at Belhaven that he first became involved in RUF and was able to work with his follow students as a Resident Assistant in campus housing for three years. After graduating college in 2007, he went on to serve as an intern with Lagniappe Presbyterian Church on the Hurricane Katrina ravaged Gulf Coast. Michael then returned to the college context, interning with RUF at the University of Tennessee from 2008-2010. Given a free Saturday morning, you would likely find Michael running, reading, cooking, gardening, enjoying sports, and spending time with people.
Jess is from Anderson, Indiana and is a recent graduate of Purdue University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Food and Farm Systems. In May of 2020 she married her best friend and RUF crush, Alex Rockhold! Jess cannot wait to serve RUF as an intern and to walk along students as they see their need for Jesus and learn more about the gospel and grace! In her free time Jess loves exploring new coffee shops, taking care of her house plants, dancing, and spending time in the great outdoors hiking, hammocking, and chasing sunsets! She is so excited to be in Atlanta and meet with the students at Georgia Tech and see how God is working in their lives and on the campus!
Matt grew up in Memphis and graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2015, where he became involved with RUF, his local church, and an after-school program. Through these service opportunities, he found a heart for loving people and swooned at the idea of working with RUF. He served as an RUF intern for Mississippi State for two years before getting married and moving to Atlanta. He's currently working on getting his Masters of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS). He and his wife Jackie have a playful golden doodle named Ash. Given any free time, you’re likely to find Matt running, swimming, spikeballing, dancing, dog-walking, throwing frisbee, board-gaming, searching dank memes, theme-parking, enjoying time with his wife and friends, or making chocolate chip cookies.
