Campus Minister

Chris is excited to share the love of Christ and serve the students of KSU through RUF. He was born in Oakland, California, and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 5th grade, his father had a massive stroke that left him physically and mentally disabled. After his dad’s stroke, his family moved to Rossville, Georgia, to be closer to family. After graduating high school, he moved to the Atlanta area where he attended Kennesaw State University (GO OWLS!) and graduated in 2014 with a degree in World History. In the fall of 2012, Jesus confronted him about his rebellion and sin. He was brought to his knees on the floor of his room in repentance and knew the power of the grace of God through faith in Jesus. He felt the call to ministry and attended RTS in Atlanta where he graduated in 2019 with a Master of Divinity degree. He met his wife Kelsey in 2016 at a conference in St. Louis while she was on staff with RUF International. They were married in 2018 and now have two wonderful children, a daughter Genesis, and a son Shepherd. They had dreamed about working with college students and when the chance opened to serve at KSU they jumped at the opportunity. Chris loves to cook for other people, drinks way too much coffee, gets overly competitive when it comes to four-square, and loves seeing people grow in their faith, hope, and love in Jesus.
