Shane Hatfield grew up on a farm in Coweta, OK and graduated from high school in 2000. He attended Oklahoma State University where he was active in his fraternity and a few campus ministries. He graduated with a bachelors in education in 2005 and moved to Tulsa, OK where he worked as a teacher and coach from 2005-2010. Shari and Shane married in 2006 and joined RiverOaks Presbyterian Church. They helped with the youth group and taught Sunday school. In 2010, he left the education field and began working as the youth minister for RiverOaks and taking distance education classes through RTS. In 2014 he graduated with a Masters of Arts and Religion from RTS Global. Shari and Shane have three children, Tucker (2008), Emmarie (2011), and Frances (2014). The Hatfield's proudly call themselves Okies, and they enjoy pretty much every outdoor activity, eating good food, drinking good coffee, and throwing water balloons at each other.
Helena is from Richmond, VA and attended Virginia Tech, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting. Helena does not like to read the Internal Revenue Code for fun, but she does like to swing dance, play sports, and jam with musical instruments even if she's not very good. RUF was such a significant part of her college experience that she decided to join the team as an intern. It was through the ministry of RUF where she built life-long friendships, witnessed God transform lives, and felt the Lord calling her to full-time ministry.
