RUF is a Christian ministry at Queens University of Charlotte.

Whatever your background or beliefs, all Queens students are welcome at RUF! We are a ministry where students can befriend each other in community, experience rest through the life-giving gospel of Jesus, and serve together for the good of others.

We would love to get to know you! Please email our campus minister or an intern and we’ll be in touch!

Josh Grimm

Josh is from Charleston, SC and graduated from Erskine College (where he was involved with RUF as a student) in 2009 with a B.A. in Bible & Religion and Philosophy. He worked in retail collections for BB&T in Lumberton, NC from 2009-2012. During that time he met and began dating his now wife, Ashley. After marrying in 2012, Josh and Ashley moved to Charlotte where Ashley has worked as a pediatric nurse, and Josh served as a pastoral intern at King's Cross Church (where Josh and Ashley still attend) and worked a variety of part-time jobs. Josh graduated from RTS Charlotte with an MDiv in 2015. Josh and Ashley have a son, Isaac, and two daughters, Ruby and Eliza.

Nick DeVusser

Nick grew up in Johnson City, TN where he met his wife, Sarah. He studied Exercise Science at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. After the RUF internship, Nick hopes to go to RTS in Charlotte with plans to get an MDiv and eventually be an RUF Campus Minister.

If he is not working out, reading theology, spending time with his wife, or playing with his dog, he is probably rewatching The Office for the 900th time.

Amanda Dworak

Hi! My Name is Amanda I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Special Education. I grew up in Aberdeen, North Carolina and was involved with church my whole life. I became involved with RUF during college and found a great community and was able to learn and grow in my faith. Three things have my heart: Jesus, coffee, and animals (especially my dogs Brody and Moose.)
