RUF is a place for imperfect people. We understand that every person, regardless of outward happiness, beauty, or attitude, is falling short in some way. We believe that there's a great hope for this imperfection, and it's found in the perfect Savior, Jesus Christ. RUF is a place for those who know this story and want to grow deeper. It's a place for those struggling to believe. It's a place for those who have never heard such a story. We invite you into a community with people in process who cling to such a profound story.

We know that you may be feeling nervous, confused or overwhelmed by the unknowns of this semester. We want to assure you that we are here for you and have your safety as a priority! Our staff is working hard to continue creating a welcoming community for UCF students amidst changes to guidelines. These hardships are not a surprise to the Lord and He will take care of us all!

Hardy Reynolds

Hardy and Bri Reynolds met, dated, and married right here in Florida and are in their first year of campus ministry with RUF @ UCF. Hardy graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando with a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2016 and a Masters of Divinity in 2019. In his counseling and ministry experience he has seen the incredible ways God works during the formative years of college and is excited to be reaching students for Christ on campus at UCF.

Annalee Bell

Annalee is a spunky, compassionate girl from Piedmont, SC. She attended Winthrop University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies. In her free time you will most likely find Annalee reading in a coffee shop, traveling to and exploring new cities or spending quality time with her loved ones. RUF was a vital part of Annalee's years at Winthrop and she cannot wait to see the awe-inspiring ways Christ continues His good work in both her and her students at UCF.

Emily Plattner

Emily grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from Tennessee Tech with a degree in Nursing. During her time in college, God used RUF to grow her love for Jesus, as well as increase her desire to know others’ stories and show them the love they are all worthy of from the Father.

When Emily isn’t in the kitchen cooking for an evening with friends, you will most likely find her outdoors exploring every aspect of God’s creation—often hiking, gardening or stargazing. Some of her favorite self-care activities include yoga, crafts or reading, and watching The Office. She’s passionate about helping students at UCF discover their identity and worth in Christ and can’t wait to give snorkeling a try!

Austin Slater

Austin was born and raised in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He grew up as the neglected middle child of 5. In 2018, he graduated from James Madison University where he majored in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science. During his time at JMU, Austin met his beautiful wife, Jessi, through his involvement with RUF. They got married in May of 2018. If given a free day, you'd likely find Austin outside playing sports, spending time with his wife, satisfying is extroverted itch with friends, or yelling at a TV screen as his favorite sports teams disappoint him yet again.
