UGA students from every kind of background have found RUF to be a place of rest amidst the pressure of college life, rich growth in their relationship with God and friends, and a place where lives and struggles are shared together in honest community.
RUF is a community that meets you where you are ("convinced" or "unconvinced", lost or found, burned out or fired up) but doesn't leave you stuck there because God is one who meets us where we are but never leaves us stuck there. So come as you are to explore Christianity and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow him alongside others at UGA.

I'm from Marietta, GA. I went to college at the University of Georgia and lived in Athens, GA, for 10 years. During that time God opened my eyes and brought me to life. It was also during these Athens years that I attended grad school, served as an RUF intern, and began an "awkward friendship" with my future wife, Anna. After working with RUF as an intern for three years, I moved to Philadelphia to attend Westminster Theological Seminary where I earned a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in counseling. A highlight of my time in Philly was getting to minister to students at the University of Pennsylvania... and also reconnecting with that previously mentioned "future wife" who was working in youth ministry in Colorado! Anna and I were married in 2012, welcomed our energetic little boy Eli into the family in 2014, our resident drama queen Addie in 2015, and our chill Noah in 2017. We spent some of the best 5 years of our lives in gorgeous Las Cruces, NM serving the incredible students at New Mexico State University RUF. Unexpectedly and quite to our surprise, God called us back to Athens in late 2017 to lead this great ministry. We're eager to see the great things our God will do in this new season of ministry.
I'd love to grab a meal or coffee with you one day and get to know you better. You can reach me at 706-372-4627, Ben.Coppedge@ruf.org, or on Facebook. Anna would also love to get to know and meet up with you ladies. If you want to hang out, you can reach her at 706-338-9721, Akcounts@gmail.com, or on Facebook.
Originally hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, Caysie spent her college years at the University of Kentucky--go cats! She studied Integrated Strategic Communication and Spanish, ¡qué chido! She loves college students and knows they need Jesus as much as she does, so she can’t wait to serve with RUF at UGA and walk with students towards Jesus. Caysie loves Cookout milkshakes, Lucky Charms, and cherry Icees. She’s always up for watching a sunset and loves the experience of doing something she’s never done before. Caysie is ready to live the Athens life and cheer on all the Georgia sports--go dawgs!
Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, I went on to graduate from Appalachian State University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice to prepare me for a career in law enforcement. It was during my time in App State's RUF that I learned the importance of learning how to care for the community I was a member of before starting my career in law enforcement. This and the amazing community I found in RUF was what led me to do the RUF Internship. I enjoy cooking, binge watching Friends, anything with a Frisbee, and college football! I am thrilled for my next two years getting to know the students at the University of Georgia!
I'm from Memphis, TN. I graduated from Rhodes College, also in Memphis. I studied Spanish and Philosophy. I got involved with RUF my freshman year and then stayed involved throughout college. RUF was one of the best parts of my college experience and I can't wait to be a part of RUF in Athens. I really like socks (Fun fact: I have over 50 different pairs). I also like fishing and basketball. I'm super excited to move to Athens and I can't wait to hang out with students.
