Chris is in his 15th year as RUF Campus Minister at the University of Maryland. Chris grew up in the Baltimore area and was greatly impacted by the ministry of Young Life and his church youth ministry. After community college he finished his engineering degree from Geneva College and worked in transportation engineering for several years. During this time he began sensing God's call to go to seminary and study the Bible and theology. This call took him to Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. After seminary Chris taught Bible and coached baseball at Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis and then did youth ministry for 8 years at Heritage Presbyterian church in Oklahoma City. Chris loves sports, reading history and playing the guitar in his spare time.
If you have any other questions please feel free to contact Chris by email at email@example.com or by phone at (301)-448-9047.
Valerie was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh to get her degree in Computer Engineering. In her free time she loves reading, water-skiing, making music with friends, and playing video games with her husband, Isaac. Val is excited for the internship to help her grow in understanding of how God uniquely uses her in ministry, for the opportunity to minister to students that are in a huge season of change, and for the study program to deepen her theological knowledge and faith.
Josh was born and raised in Laurel, Maryland, and graduated with his B.S. in Science of Bible at Lancaster Bible College. He is currently studying at Reformed Theological Seminary in DC where he is pursuing a MDiv degree. In his spare time Josh loves to skateboard, listen to podcasts, and go to the movies. Most importantly, Josh is excited to get hands on ministry experience with RUF and pair it with what he is studying at Reformed Theological Seminary.
