Welcome to UW! Thanks so much for checking us out. RUF is a student group here on campus that longs to know CHRIST, be changed by him through COMMUNITY, live for a CAUSE greater than ourselves, and learn how the gospel impacts every area of the CULTURE. There's a lot of groups to choose from on our campus. The best way to figure out if RUF is a good fit for you is to simply come and see. We've got a lot of events planned for this fall to help you build community and grow in your understand and relationship with Jesus. Hope to see you soon! All are welcome!

David and his wife Krista were called to work for RUF at the University of Washington in 2020. They met through RUF at Stanford University. David is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell seminary as well as Wake Forest University, where he was first introduced to RUF.
Born in California, David has lived all over the country, including Colorado, Massachusetts, and now, Washington. If he's not hanging out with students at UW, you might be able to find him reading in a coffee shop, watching movies (or old episodes of The Office, Arrested Development, and Seinfeld), playing basketball, ping pong, or enjoying the great outdoors in a variety of ways including (but not limited to) hiking, biking, golfing, rowing, kayaking, swimming, or any other way he can try to keep up with UW students.
David and Krista met when David was interning with RUF at Stanford and Krista was a grad student. It was love at first site (well, maybe, not quite), and they got married in 2010. They have three kids: Annika (2014), Micah (2017), and Nate (2019). Each one is an absolute delight, and they are all excited about meeting more students at UW.
Paul was born in Cambridge, England, while his father was there for graduate work. Unfortunately, he does not have dual citizenship. Most of his childhood was spent in Fargo, North Dakota – which really is that cold. Then his family moved to Hershey, Pennsylvania, and not even that managed to rid him of his preference for European chocolate.
Paul went to the University of Pittsburgh for undergrad, and studied computer science. He quickly fell in love with the campus and the city, despite it having the most potholes per capita nationwide (according to him). It was through his time with RUF that Paul gained a deeper appreciation for the value of relationships and the importance of investing in others.
Paul enjoys traveling, reading, concerts, watching movies, playing games (both video and board), and spending time in conversation.
Paul looks forward to getting to know students at UW and exploring all that Seattle has to offer.
Ali was born in Naperville, IL and graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Psychological Sciences and a minor in Global Studies. Upon graduating in 2017 she served as a mountain guide with YoungLife's Beyond Malibu in British Columbia. It was only a matter of time before she found herself living in the beautiful PNW! Ali experienced RUF at UVM as a safe place to ask questions, come as I was, and grow in relationship with others and with Christ. She's excited to meet students at UW and learn alongside them!
