Our mission in RUF at WKU is to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve. What this means is we long to be a ministry that demonstrates and offers the generous kindness of Jesus Christ to all students on campus, and invite them into a community where they can experience, receive and grow in his love during college. We seek to accomplish this mission through nights of worship every Wednesday, weekly small groups discussions and Bible studies, one on one conversations, and also through conferences and parties. No matter who you are, or what you believe, we hope you will join us and experience for yourself the welcome and hospitality of the Lord Jesus.
Ross was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Mississippi State University where he received a degree in Communication and, more importantly, met his beautiful wife, Anne Todd. Ross and Anne Todd married in December 2010, and have two boys sons, Bo and Ira. Ross graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in the May 2015. Both Ross and Anne Todd were involved with RUF at Mississippi State and are very excited that God has called them to Western Kentucky University where they can share the good news of King Jesus and proclaim his great love to the students there.
Cathy grew up in Aberdeen, North Carolina and attended East Carolina University where she received a degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing, and a minor in Music. She grew up going to church in her hometown of Aberdeen, North Carolina, but getting involved with RUF allowed her to grow in her faith more than she ever had, and that is why she is so stoked to be a part of sharing the beauty of the Gospel with students at WKU. Cathy loves Cheerwine, coffee, cooking, kayaking, and most of all: her dog, Bear.
Thomas grew up in the beautiful Appalachian city of Asheville, North Carolina. He attended NC State University and majored in Electrical Engineering. While there he was introduced to RUF and the community it provided. His experiences at NC State led him to join RUF and become an intern at Western Kentucky. Thomas enjoys hiking, watching movies, playing basketball, listening to music, and watching UNC basketball.
Leslie was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi. She attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and transferred to Belhaven University, where she received a degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. She grew up attending church in Tupelo and getting involved with RUF in college is something she looked forward to. RUF at Belhaven provided her an incredible community of friends and allowed her to grow in her faith much more than she expected. She is excited to be an intern at WKU and to help and be a friend to others like her intern was for her. Leslie loves coffee, running, listening to music and reading, but mostly coffee.
